These Booking Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and the rental of the cottage through this website. By accessing the site or making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Website Use
This website is provided for informational purposes and to allow guests to inquire about or book stays at the cottage. By using this site, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not damage, disable, or interfere with the website or other users.
All content on this website, including text, images, and layout, is the property of the website owner unless otherwise stated. Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.
While we strive to keep all information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that all descriptions, pricing, availability, or other details are always free of errors. We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time.
2. Booking Process
Bookings may be made through the website, by email, or by other approved communication methods.
A reservation is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received and confirmation has been provided. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and assumes responsibility for all guests staying at the property during the reservation period.
Guests agree to follow all house rules and ensure that anyone staying at the property also follows these rules.
3. Payments and Deposits
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation.
The remaining 75% balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Payments can be made by e-transfer to:
Wire transfer payment information is available upon request.
If the remaining balance is not received by the due date, the reservation may be cancelled and the deposit may be forfeited.
4. Cancellation Policy
If a guest needs to cancel their reservation, the following terms apply:
60 days or more before arrival
A full refund will be issued minus a $50 administrative fee.
Between 59 and 31 days before arrival
Half of the deposit will be refunded unless the cancelled dates are successfully rebooked. If the dates are rebooked, a full refund will be issued.
Within 30 days of arrival
No refund will be issued unless the dates are successfully rebooked.
Refunds, where applicable, will be issued using the same payment method where possible.
5. Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 4:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Check-out time is 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
Guests are asked to respect these times so the property can be properly prepared for the next guests unless other arrangements have been agreed to in advance.
6. Cottage Rules
To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests and to protect the property, the following rules apply:
Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
Pets are allowed, however pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their animals.
The cottage renter assumes responsibility for any willful or negligent damage to the cottage, its contents, or the surrounding property during the rental period.
Any damage or issues should be reported as soon as possible.
7. Liability
Guests use the cottage and surrounding property at their own risk. The property owner is not responsible for accidents, injuries, loss of personal belongings, or damage that may occur during a guest’s stay.
Guests are responsible for ensuring the safety of themselves and all members of their party during their stay.
8. Changes to Terms
These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. The terms in effect at the time of booking will apply to that reservation.
